Please check out the new mix i uploaded of Krakatau and download it for best quality playback. Its a digital recreation using the very synthesized guitar from Hypersonic 2, its truly awesome now the dynamics of the guitar is improved 10 fold it. For a start you can layer different patches together in many different ways (you never could before in HS1). A great example of this is the new hypersonic Stratocaster guitar 'oscillators' which can be layered and stacked to almost any number and layered together via velocity or pitch, even better is the cross fading, allowing to to ease from one guitar osc to the other blending in such a way to create that opening of the palm mute type build up that is essential to the emulation of a real guitar. But it gets better! Now with the new HS modulation options you can adjust the start and formant of the guitar wave, set that to the velocity or set it to random which adds incredible amounts of realism when playing repetitive or fast flurry of notes, bringing back much lost warm from digital sampling. A huge leap forward in this field and thats just the guitar alone! All the other instruments have been hugely improved, new kits sounds, bass sounds, pads, vocals, orchestral, analog synths you name it - its in there and all with immense and unprecedented flexibility. Check out the latest version of Krakatau's to here HS2 in action, i put the guitar patches together myself (I think the guys at steinberg were intending people to do) I absolutely love this new instrument and it has become no.1 in my overall package of music production. If i could have one synth right now, this would be it and it would be all I would need to make some kick ass music.
